Title: TE0741 programming with xc3sprog
Post by: Rtg on July 11, 2017, 08:03:44 AM
I am trying to program TE0741 and the flash with xc3sprog.  But it shows the error that 'XC7K160T' can't be programmed (snip attached).  But I saw that Kintex 7 was in the list of supported hardware of xc3sprog.   Also, what are the constraints to be used for the flash programming?

Hi. xc3sprog still gives the same error.  But I was able to find the top file and constraints file. https://shop.trenz-electronic.de/en/Download/?path=Trenz_Electronic/TE0741/Reference_Design/14.7/XS3SPROG

I am not sure why they would be there if the board was not meant to be programmed using xc3sprog. Any suggestions anybody?

Hi,
why do you need xc3sprog?

You can use Xilinx tools to program Flash or FPGA device. Use SDK or Vivado HW-Manager: https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=14746264#Vivado/SDK/SDSoC-XilinxSoftwareProgrammingandDebugging
