Do the TE 0725 series modules offer inputs (or outputs) for the transceiver? As far as i understood the cicruit they are not available, right?
What is the connection of the LWL-jack? Is it normal IO possibly using SERDES?
Was it theoratically possible to somehow modify the board on ourselves to get transceivers running?
Hi,
AMD Artix 7 doesn't have trancievers at all in CSG324 package.
See here: https://docs.amd.com/access/sources/ud/document?url=7-series-product-selection-guide&ft:locale=en-US
2.54mm pin headers are not suited for high speed transmission.
You may consider TE0714 SoM with LSHM connectors.

Hi,
The LWL jack (fiber-optic connector) is an optional optical transceiver, type AFBR-59F2Z, which communicates with the FPGA via an LVDS interface. You can populate it yourself, or we can supply a module with the transceiver already assembled.
Please note that the warranty is void if you modify the module yourself.

Oh! thanks. I did not notice that so far. Then it is clear to me.

Is populating myself already an modification regarding warranty?
