Title: How to setup CAN interface on TE0818
Post by: Bugtech on January 16, 2025, 04:38:25 PM
I am working on TE0818 board. I want to use CAN interface to send and receive data, Is there any guide or tutorial to setup this connection?

Are there any drivers needed to be installed separately? (CAN4Linux or SocketCAN)

I have petalinux 2022.2 in my board.

This is better answered on AMD forums, we have the hardware capability on the baseboard but no demo design for it.

Hi,
CAN interface in PS is enabled on TE0818 reference design together with TEBF0818 (https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/TE0818+StarterKit), but we didn't enabled additional drivers.
For addition changes check: https://xilinx-wiki.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/A/pages/18842496/Linux+CAN+driver
