A serial terminal connected to the XMOD in J28 (at 115200 bps) doesn't show anything to me...
I suppose the 'XMOD button' mentioned is the power button next to the XMODs, but I don't receive anything

which serial console did you use?
Did you updated the CPLD Firmware to the newest version? The second XMOD output is only visible with the newest firmware, when you press the button. I you didn't press the button you should see you console input --> simple loopback

In case you see nothing, either an older firmware is installed or your serial console settings are wrong.

I used the SDK console, settings were 115200 bps, 8 bit, no parity, 1 stop bit.
I didn't change the CPLD firmware, I wanted to know first which version was inside.
Probably I'll just flash them with the latest, it'll be the quickest.
