Title: TE0710 B16 Voltage
Post by: Caleb Phillips on March 09, 2017, 08:00:03 PM
Hello, I am implementing an SD card on a custom carrier board but am a bit uncertain about what voltage B16 operates at. Per the TE0710 schematic, it should be 3.3V which agrees with the TRM; however, there is a note at the top of schematic sheet #13 that states "B16 6 pins, 3 differential; 1.8V fixed VCCIO" which is leaving me a little confused. Just want to make sure that I'm not going to break anything if I bypass the level converter that is used in 0703 and 0706 and wire the SD socket direct to the module.

Thanks!

Hello,

this means this 3 pairs go to SD Card on our carrier te0701 with level shifter which sourced by 1.8V from connector side.
See page 8 and 18:

Or other 4x5 module carrier. We used SD-Card only on Zynq Modules with 1.8V VCCO on MIO Pin.

Do you want to implement SD on Artix?
