Title: Gigabee B2B connectors, supply decoupling
Post by: rifo on August 08, 2011, 01:58:42 PM
Hello,

There are pins for 1.2V, 2.5V and 1.5V in the B2B connectors. While designing a headerboard, should one decouple these pins even if they are not used in the design. Can I simply let them unconnected?

thank you very much

Hi,
as these pins are also used as high frequency return paths, it is always a good Idea to decouple them with 10nF - 100nF. If you do not use the IO Pins near them, you can omit the decoupling.

Hello Thorsten,

Thanks for your reply. I have added 100 nF capacitors to those pins.
