Title: TE0820 with TE0701 battery voltage
Post by: eclark on September 01, 2017, 01:07:34 AM
After reviewing the schematics for TE0820 and TE0701, it looks like Zynq Ultrascale+ pin VCC_PSBATT will be out of spec. Xilinx lists a maximum of 2.0 volt.

Will the 3 volt cell work anyway? Are there any 1.5v batteries that will fit in the CR1220 holder?

I can replace the battery holder, but I'd rather not.

Hi,

thank you to pointing that out.

Unfortunately TE0701 is made for our 7 Series Modules. So usage with TE0820 has some more restrictions.  We will develop a own carrier for TE0820, but i can't tell you a timeline for this carrier at the moment.

3V is out of the max rating for PSBATT (max 2V), so you should not try this.
