Title: garbage characters from UART at the end of Linux boot on the TE0720-03-2IF
Post by: danwwright on October 05, 2016, 05:44:20 PM
When Linux boot completes on the TE0720-03-2IF I see:
...
VFS: Mounted root (ext4 filesystem) on device 179:2.
devtmpfs: mounted
Freeing unused kernel memory: 240K (c0728000 - c0764000)

Ubuntu 12.10 zynq ttyPS0

zynq login:

Looking on various forums this problem (on other boards- not the TE0720-03-2IF) was due to an incorrect frequency set in the device tree:
ps-clk-frequency = <33333333>;

What is the correct clock frequency for the TE0720-03-2IF?  Is the line above currently correct as it stands?

from time to time we see garbage with different designs and products. the causes can be different.
