Title: JB1 connector dangling pin 64
Post by: mlefevre on March 28, 2012, 01:45:30 PM
Hi

We are actualy designing a mother board that will carry the gigabee board.
We have noticed that on the dev board (TE-603) the PIN 64 of connector JB1 is let as a dangling pin.
Whereas it's twins pin : PIN 63 of Connector J1 of GIGABEE board is connected to GND.

Is that done on purpose? or is it a little glitch?
Can we connect PIN 64 of connector JB1 of our mother board to the GND?

Best Regards

Hi,
you can connect it to GND.
In an older revision of the baseboard, we connected this pin accidentally to 1.5V. We reworked the PCB's so this pin was NC then.
To be compatible we left it this way.
For your own baseboard, its recommended to connect it to GND.

best regards
