Title: TE0701-06 and Video
Post by: JS on June 23, 2021, 06:48:09 PM
The  TE0701 shows a HDMI video jack and also the explicitly given difference to the downsized version mentiones HDMI Video. For some reason it is not mentioned on the website describing the board:
https://shop.trenz-electronic.de/de/TE0701-06-Traegerboard-fuer-Trenz-Electronic-4-x-5-Module?c=260

Is there a special issue?

I'd like to use it together with an ARTIX 5x4 sized (I need a "200" now for a video project).

In the docs I found the ADV7511KSTZ as transmitter. How many Pins are connected? Ist that a 8Bit or 10Bit connection?
(I found the transmitter in the doc on page 9 of 51 and found CLK, HS,VS,De and such but somehow cannot find the connection of the colour data R,G,B).
thx

Hi,
we haven't any design for artix device only but we use this together with Zynq device. Online Documentation and download to the project:
https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/TE0720+HDMI701

You can try to port it to artix device

TE0701 Schematics:

page 12 --> 12 Data Pins are connected

you need to study the ADV datasheet  a lot to understand the color mapping, several schemes are supported.
