Title: Vivado Project Delivery
Post by: IPodFan on August 27, 2019, 11:26:35 AM
Currently, I want to setup a basic Vivado HW-Design for my TE0720. I just want to try to use Petalinux later on.
In the wiki I found something about the project delivery. On YouTube, there was a video, where a script was executed and a block-design was automatically generated.

I use Vivado 2017.4, so (if I understood the documentation right) I think I have to download the scripts manually.

Could someone explain the steps easy and more in details?

Hi,
download 2017.4 reference design and unzip (use short name without space characters in the path ). older description is also available as pdf in the download area:
https://shop.trenz-electronic.de/en/Download/?path=Trenz_Electronic/Modules_and_Module_Carriers/4x5/TE0720/Reference_Design/2017.4/test_board
run "_create_win_setup.cmd" in the main folder and follow instructions to select your assembly option. --> see also pdf

newest design is 2018.3, if you start new design, I would recommend to use this one --> we've done some updates which are not included into the older one.
for 18.3 follow instruction from the wiki:
https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/TE0720+Test+Board
https://shop.trenz-electronic.de/en/Download/?path=Trenz_Electronic/Modules_and_Module_Carriers/4x5/TE0720/Reference_Design/2018.3/test_board

PS: we include also prebuilt Hello TE0720 barmetal example and petalinux example, which was generated with this project sources .

John
