Title: TEI0016 / AnalogMax-daq2 synchronization, oscillators question
Post by: jason on January 10, 2021, 04:22:00 PM
Hi,
I'm curious, if in the default factory state, which oscillators, the 12MHz or 100MHz, should be shared across two modules in order for acquisitions to be synchronized?
I realize there is an assumption that a trigger is shared, but I wanted to address this question first.

I see in the Quartus project that the 100MHz is used in the FPGA, but it is not clear to me that the 12MHz input is used.

Thank you for any suggestions and clarifications, ultimately to synchronize two modules.
Very nice product btw. Thank you!
jason.

Hi,
are you talking about this project: https://github.com/ArrowElectronics/AnalogMAX/blob/master/embedded_firmware/AnalogMAX-DAQ2_TEI0016-03-08-C8B-adc_test_adaq7980-quartus_18.1-20190926.zip (https://github.com/ArrowElectronics/AnalogMAX/blob/master/embedded_firmware/AnalogMAX-DAQ2_TEI0016-03-08-C8B-adc_test_adaq7980-quartus_18.1-20190926.zip) ?
There we only used the 100Mhz clock.
