Title: EEPROM and SHA-256 access on TE0720
Post by: pmsoftware on April 15, 2014, 11:45:25 AM
Key featurs of TE0720 are "Valid MAC Address and 2 kilobit serial EEPROM" and "SHA-256 authentication chip with unique serial number".
I noticed that the 11AA02E48T-I/TT (MAC+EEPROM) and  ATSHA204-TSU-T (SHA-256) are connected to System Controller (the CPLD Lattice). Is it possible to access to these EEPROMs?
Regards
Paolo

Hello

With default CPLD firmware MAC address read automatically to registers and then processor read it by MDC/MDIO interface. This read code is in board configuration in u-boot.
MAC address then passed to linux.
There is no direct access to EEPROM with current CPLD firmware.
