Title: USB not working
Post by: whitsydaddy on April 13, 2017, 07:04:32 PM
Hello,

We have five TE0703-04 Carrier Boards mounted with TE0720-02 Zynq modules. Recently we are having issues with the J6 USB port where we plug in a webcam. On some stacks the camera works fine, but on others the camera is not recognized.

I inspected the hardware for differences and noticed that on the three working stacks the TE0703-04 has BRN1520 in silkscreen on the back. And the two stacks that don't work have BRN1603 written on them.

Can you tell me what these markings mean, and do you know of any hardware differences between the two that would cause the J6 USB not to work?

Thanks

Hi,
these numbers are the date codes of the PCB manufacturer. If both are Revision 04 (TE0703-04) there is no change.
We observed this behavior seldom, when using certain combinations of power supply, USB device and FPGA load.

Please try to increase the supply voltage of the base and check if it works.

Best Regards,
