Hello,
I wondered any plan to upgrade zynqberry to XC7Z020 from XC7Z010.
Sincerely,
Hi,
yes and no. We thought about it, but cost will go up considerable. If we see some volume or more requests from customer base, we may push priority.
Best Regards,
Thorsten Trenz
Thank you for reply.
I understand your concern about price and market.
I don't know about industrial market, but
I think this board is the best for educational purpose.
The zxxboard has been used a lot in school, but if I started to add external devices or interfaces, it was too expensive, even more than the board itself.
but zynqberry is very easy and cheap to add any other features from the pi echo system.
I have a plan to open a course using this board, but two complaints are small fpga and flash boot.
XC7Z020 will be enough for the most educational purpose, and flash boot, I don't know why it has to be.
I need to program two times (flash and sd card), which is also bad for educational purpose.
I hope the answer to be yes in near future.
Regards,
Hi,
OK, message heard. ZynqBerry 2 will be released in about 2 month, it can be assembled with 7010, 7014 and 7020.
Please tell us more about the course you plan offline, we may support you there.
Best Regards,
Thorsten Trenz

Hello,
are there any plans to add emmc or similar storage to the new Zynqberry boards?
Shailesh
Hi,
at the moment not, we try to keep the cost down, and emmc is a big cost factor.
