Title: TE0715 tracelegths
Post by: Andy_C on September 19, 2016, 03:04:10 PM
We need to use GTXs on our TE0715-03 board. But file with tracelengths not available. Or is it the same as for TE0720?

TE0720 has no GTX
in almost all application the actual tracelenght for GTx are irrelevant.
If needed we can provide this information.

I know that TE0720 has no GTX. But for TE0720 provided Excel file with actual differential pairs length. As we can see from this file differential pairs not aligned on the module. For TE0715 have no such file. How to align pairs on the custom mother board with TE0715 as doughter?

you asked for GTX lengths?

now you talk about diff pair lengths?

which one you need?

I assumed you asked for GTX lenghts, those are in most cases irrelevant to the application.

Generally for both, diff pairs and GTXs. Now more important GTXs, but soon we plan to move TE0720 based existing design with parallel LVDS bus from hi-speed ADC to TE0715. So, diff pairs length will be important too.
Yes, as you say absolute value of GTX traces length does not matter. But! Difference between two conductor of single pair unacceptable for gigabit transmission.
It would be nice if for TE0715 was Excel file as for the TE0720.
Then would be no question.
