Hello,

I'm interested in buying a TE0820 with a TE0706 carrier card but I would need some clarification about SD card use.

In the compatibility matrix, it is said : "Works, but without carrier board modification out of specification: TE0706 SD Levelshifter powered fix by 1.8V, TE0820 SD MIO-Bank by 3.3V."
Indeed, I can see in Vivado that MIO bank 1 (with pins 46-51) is powered by 3.3V and in the TE0706 schematics that the TXS02612 VCCA pin is connected to 1.8V.
But if TXS02612 VCCA is connected to 1.8V, will it accept 3.3V on port A pins ?

Thanks in advance,

Christophe

Hello,

yes, that means "out of specification". It works, but we did not make any performance tests.

Hello John,

Thanks for your answer ; I think the sentence may be a bit confusing though (this talks about out of spec modifications that are not allowed, whereas it is already out of spec due to the voltage mismatch).

Anyway I was more worried about damaging the TXS02612 than the performance aspect. If this works out of the box this is perfect.
