TE0820 Need help for mainline U-Boot patch integration

I work in HIPPEROS, a RTOS company, and we use the TE0820 SOM on top of a Sundance EMC2-DP-V2 carrier board.
Our partners also use the same SOM and carrier board.
In order to facilitate the boot of the board, I created a patch submission to support the TE0820 SOM with a Sundance EMC2-DP-V2 carrier board to the mainline U-Boot.
However the U-Boot maintainer would prefer the integration to be made by somebody from Trenz in order to increase the maintenance lifetime.

I already submitted 2 versions.
And I am wondering whether somebody at Trenz would be able to continue the integration work of the patch.
There is a review for the second patch which I did not answered to.

Patch version 1: https://lists.denx.de/pipermail/u-boot/2018-May/327192.html
Patch version 2: https://lists.denx.de/pipermail/u-boot/2018-May/327267.html

Thanks,
Vladimir

Hi,

we have been thinking about this for many years already, but it is unfortunatly not so trivial as we have not a few products but SoM with variants and then if we multiply by the carrier board then it would come very bloated and a real nitemare to maintain.

So far we have not found a reasonable way to-do it, we are still concidering possible options and will continue that in the future too.

What we could do is to take over the responsibility for one given SoM+ carrier combination (like the EMC2 case) as of the testing as required, but only if we really have a full setup of the base at our premises.

This indeed requires some work but here the job is already partially done and I see that I am not the only one trying to have the TE0820 support on U-boot (see https://forum.trenz-electronic.de/index.php/topic,745.0.html ).
And there are some work that I cannot push myself.
For example, the U-Boot maintainer would like Trenz to be added to the vendor list in the Linux mainline tree.

I think that having at least some carrier board+SOM examples integrated in U-boot could be helpful for other people.
