TEI0050-CYC5000 Isolation Compatibility

To whom it may concern,

I am using CYC5000 modules for my electronics designs and am concerned about the USB isolation of the device. I connect CYC5000 to my PC with a micro B USB cable, and it successfully programs my code to the CYC5000. However, when I use my USB isolator with Viso<850V and max. Iout=0.3A, the CYC5000 can't be programmed anymore.

I searched for some document files but couldn't find any information regarding the isolator compatibility of the CYC5000. So, do you have some information on this? Also, are there isolators available that are known to be working for CYC5000?

what USB isolator are you using ?
Is it compliant with the USB 2.0 specification of the FT2232H chip of CYC5000, does it support the USB speed?

Does it provide the power capacity ? CYC5000 draws a few hundred mA when programming.. monitor the voltage.

Hello,

It's a self-made USB isolator. I specified the current and isolation voltage capabilities, but I'm not sure about the speed ratings you mentioned. Perhaps it would be best to opt for a USB isolator that is proven to work with the CYC5000. Do you have some suggestions for that?
