Hello everyone, my name is Jonas, I am 35 years old and come from the area of Bingen/Germany and I am new to this forum.

Last year I bought a TE0802-02-2AEV2-A developer board for professional reasons. I want to use this board to segment images with a deep learning network as a test.

Unfortunately, I've only just got around to really getting to grips with the subject. Vivado is completely new territory for me and I'm trying to prepare myself as best I can.

I found several tutorials at Trenz:

1.) https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/TE0802+Getting+Started+Guide
2.) https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/TE0802+Test+Board#TE0802TestBoard-JTAG
3.) https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/TE0802+test+board+Vitis+AI+Tutorial#TE0802testboardVitisAITutorial-FastTrack
4.) https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/TE0802+TRM#TE0802TRM-SSDM.2Connector
5.) https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/TE0802+Test+Board#TE0802TestBoard-Programming

I tried to go through the "Getting Started Guide" step by step, unfortunately without success :(

My system data:

* PC with Ubuntu 22.04
* Vivado 2021.2
* Folder that I downloaded from the Trenz Website: E0802-test_board-vivado_2021.2-build_20_20230210132253.zip
* And the TE0802-02-2AEV2-A Board with a plug-in power supply unit: 5V 4A

When I plug in the board, the power LED lights up permanently. Nothing changes if the reset button is pressed. I have connected a monitor with a native display port input (i.e. no adapter or similar), but it does not receive an input signal. So the board seems to be completely blank when delivered.

As described in 1.), I first tried to write the BOOT.bin to the QSPI flash using Vivado. To do this, I set all 4 switches (DIP switch S1) to off, as described in the instructions. Unfortunately this cannot be done, an error message appears in Vivado that there is no "hw-target". The board is connected to the PC with a micro USB cable. The cable works and the device is recognized as ttyUSB0 and USB1.

In addition, nothing is output in putty (USB0 and USB1), or COM4 in Windows, I have checked this (115200 baud).

I then changed the position of the S1 switches once, I tried to boot directly from the SD card as described in the instructions 5.) (SD boot mode).

To do this, I copied the required files from the folder "_binaries_TE0802-02-2AEV2-A" to the SD card (Sandisk, 64 GB, ext4 formatted) that Vivado created.

I have set switches 1 and 2 of S1 to "on", as described in the instructions 4.).

Unfortunately, there was again no output via putty or the monitor, the power LED is still permanently green.

Unfortunately, it is very confusing for me which settings have to be made at which point in time and what the effects are.

The different instructions are also difficult to understand.
Please don't get me wrong, I am very happy that there is so much documentation, but it overwhelms me.

I see JTAG, QSPI and SD as boot options.
I don't understand why the board won't boot in SD mode even though the required files are available.

Unfortunately, I can't get any further on my own and am asking for help.

kind regards

Jonas
