Hi,

Quite a simple question I think but I can't quickly find an anwer :-)
We are using the starter kit TE0720-03-1CFA-S, and I was wondering, if I select IOstandard LVCMOS25, Do the I have to power the banks with 2.5V as well externally, or can I just use the 3.3V onboard supply?
Same question actually if I would want to use LVCMOS12 for example, will this work with 3.3V onboard supply as well?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
what you select in vivado must be match with the really use bank voltages. Depending on the IO Standard, Xilinx used the constrain parameter to check if you has specified everything correctly (for example you get an error when you select CMOS33 and CMOS25 on the same bank) and for some IO Standards also to configures IOs correctly.

TE720 has only HR Banks, which supports max 3.3V Other Modules with HP Banks max1.8V, see also:
for our 4x5 modules: https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/4+x+5+SoM+Integration+Guide?src=sidebar
And in general: https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/user_guides/ug471_7Series_SelectIO.pdf

With TE0720 and TE0703, you can select Bank power via Jumper, you can use on board power or external. In case you use external, than enable this after SoC module is powered up, see also:
