Hello,

I want to connect two FPGA boards using Aurora. I bought FMC Cable to connect two Trenz TE0701 Boards together. One of the two boards has TE0741 and the other board has TE0730 module.

My Issue is:
I tracked the MGT transceiver on the Module and the Carrier which has connection to the FMC LPC but I couldn't find MGT connection to the FMC LPC.

Could you please clarify why? (FMC is made to support high speed signaling. I assumed there must be some MGT connected to FMC LPC of TE0701 carrier)

Hi,

high speed lanes are optional on FMC standard, the same with the quantity of IOs. Only the position is fix and it should be filled up from lower to upper numbers. Same is with supported VADJ....
So for FMC you must always pay attention and check connection in details.

TE0701 was primary designed for TE0720 Zynq module(it use a Zynq device without MGTs), that's the main reason why there are no MGTs connected.

Here are some more information for you:

TE0701 has a CL connector where some MGTs of the TE0741 are accessible, this can be maybe an option for you to connect 2 Boards with Aurora over TE0701. --> Maybe you must modify a CL cable to swap RX and TX correctly.
