Hello,

Looking into schematics od TE0715, we noticed that name of differential pairs and banks are different for ones found in carrier schematic (TE0703, TE0706 for example)
Which one is correct and why is that?

Thanks,

JH

Hi,
TE0703  and TE0706 carrier is for different 4x5 modules

    https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/4+x+5+SoM+Carriers

So the signal names on the carrier can't be the same like on the modules for normal FPGA IOs names.

We have some general overview for 4x5 pinout:

    https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/4+x+5+SoM+Integration+Guide

And we offer an pinout excel table for pinout cross reference of carrier and module:

Hello John,

And thank you for excellent answer.
Which is the recommended carrier for TE0715 to use as reference design in our project?

Thanks,

JH

Hello,
depends on the usage and which periphery is needed.
TE0703/TE0706(cheaper with less periphery and the most IOs to 2.54mm pin header) or TE0701/TE0705 (more expansive and more periphery).
Basics like ETH, USB, SD are on all 4 available:
https://wiki.trenz-electronic.de/display/PD/4+x+5+SoM+Carriers

PS: In case you want to create your own carrier, check download area of the carrier. We provide the altium projects of some carrier, so that you can easier start with your own carrier. But use Pin header for external JTAG programmer, the FTDI solution like on TE0701/TE0705 and TE0703 need a special licence.
Programmer:

or digilent SMD variant:
